The device comprises a molding blank-conveyor device (2) for horizontally conveying the molded blanks to a loading station. A molded blank carrier-conveyor (5) is provided for conveying a molded blank holder (6) to the loading station. Another molded blank carrier conveyor (8) is provided for conveying the molded blank holder away from the loading station. A conveyor element (5a) is moved from a lower lifting position (5u) to an upper lifting position (5o). A carrier surface (6a) of the molded blank holder, is arranged at the height of a carrier plane (2h). An independent claim is also included for a method for loading a molded blank carrier.
