PURPOSE: A decoding apparatus and a decoding method for restoring an audio signal by detecting error in a decoding process are provided to reduce the deterioration of voice by restoring the error frame through information of the normally decoded current frame. CONSTITUTION: An error detector detects the loss of a current frame(S200). An AAC(Advanced Audio Coding) decoder performs an AAC decoding operation about the current frame(S250). The error detector detects the error in the AAC decoding(S260). One of an SBR(Spectral Band Replication) module and a PS(Parametric Stereo) module within the AAC decoder(S270). If error does not generate in the decoding of the AAC plus module, the AAC plus decoder synthesizes the output signal(S280). |
