<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for charging molten iron with which the spouting of flame, black smoke, etc., from a furnace hole just after charging the molten iron into a converter or a pre-treating furnace under state of already charging scrap, can surely be prevented and the drip of cooling water can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: When the molten iron is charged from a molten iron ladle 2 into the converter 1, in which the scrap 3 containing combustibles, generally, the flame and powdery dust are generated. However, the charge of the molten iron is performed while shutting off these flame and powdery dust by performing the spray or mist-atomizing of the cooling water from a header 10. Thereafter, at the timing when the molten iron ladle 2 is separated from the furnace hole, the supply of the cooling water is stopped and also, high pressure inert gas is injected into the inner part of a piping 11 to the header 10, and the cooling water remaining in the inner part of the piping 11 is exhausted together with the inert gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
