PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and highly reliable cathode scan type X-ray generator for a very high speed X-ray CT scanner and the very high speed X-ray scanner using it, by which the inside of a subject is stereoscopically and instantly inspected and an excellent CT image is obtained. SOLUTION: The cathode scan type X-ray generator for the very high speed X-ray CT scanner is provided with a doughnut shape vacuum vessel VV, a cathode side rotary body assembly CR inside the vessel and a ring-shape cathode power supply mechanism SL1 to be operated in vacuum for energizing the cathode. The generator is used for the very high speed X-ray CT scanner. Then the rotary part of the cathode side rotary body assembly or the cathode power supply mechanism is supported by a bearing mechanism CBG consisting of a hydrodynamic slide bearing lurbricated by liquid metal so as to be freely rotatable. The rotary part inside the vacuum vessel is thermally and electrically connected to the outer part of the vessel through the liquid metallic lubricant and kept in low temperature and in fixed potential. The hydrodynamic slide bearing is adjusted in a hydrodynamic force so that a torque in the case of starting is prevented from becoming large. |
