<p>Thermal processing of metals, preferably calcium, silicon and phosphorus-containing ash, preferably sewage sludge ash comprises: (i) heating the ash by induction, optionally assisted by partial combustion of carbon, in a reactor to a predetermined reaction temperature; and (ii) reduction of the ashes to iron alloys, elemental phosphorus, slag, heavy metals rich dust and residual gas fraction.</p> |
