PURPOSE: A membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell is provided to prevent the flooding phenomenon by easily discharging the moisture from the inside of the membrane-electrode assembly, and to maintain the water retaining property of an electrolyte film. CONSTITUTION: A membrane-electrode assembly(20) comprises the following: an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell; an anode electrode located on one side of the electrolyte membrane; and a cathode electrode located on the other side of the electrolyte membrane. A hydrophilic unit(20a) is formed on the cathode electrode. The density of the hydrophilic unit on an inside region(210) of the cathode electrode is bigger than the density from an outer region(230).
