PURPOSE: A band saw machine for cutting metal plates is provided to precisely cut steel plates or raw metal sheets by varying the position of the fixed raw metal sheets according to the thickness and the width of the raw metal sheets. CONSTITUTION: A band saw machine(100) for cutting metal plates comprises a transfer table(110), a fixing unit(120), a clamping unit(130), a cutter(140), a band-saw(150), and a pair of insert holders(160). The fixing unit fixes the upper side of the metal plate by a fixing unit. The clamping unit is installed on the front side of the fixing unit. The clamping unit fixes the upper side of the metal plate and moves the metal plate in the direction of the fixing unit.
