PURPOSE: A method for screening a material with activity of preventing or treating multiple sclerosis is provided to enhance activity of DRG2(developmentally regulated GTP-binding protein). CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material with activity of preventing or treating multiple sclerosis comprises: a step of treating candidate materials to protein with an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1; a step of measuring change of protein activity; and a step of selecting a material which enhances protein activity. The protein activity change is measured by GPT-binding analysis. A kit for diagnosing multiple sclerosis comprises a molecule which is able to measure the expression level of polynucleotide encoding the protein.
