Mobile roof for a motor vehicle

The roof has a support strip comprising an open U-shaped support that is placed in driving direction of a profile body bar of a sealing body, where the roof is formed by a folding top (7) supported at a body of a passenger car (1). The folding top comprises a convertible roof cover that is held by a front roof cap. A sealing body is fastened by the support strip and provided between the roof cap and a wall of an upper cross beam of a windshield frame of the body of car. The support strip comprises a retaining bar and projects into a U-shaped retaining section.
