MULTI-CHANNEL IPTV SET-TOP-BOX AND IPTV BROADCASTING SYSTEM FOR MULTI-CHANNEL SERVICE

PURPOSE: A multi-channel IPTV set-top-box and an IPTV broadcasting system for a multi-channel service are provided to enable a user to watch the broadcasts of identical or different IPTV channels in plural rooms by installing one IPTV set-top box for a multi-channel service. CONSTITUTION: An Internet access unit(102) accesses a broadcasting server through the Internet, and a main processor(104) receives a stream of a selected channel from the Internet access unit. A main channel decoder(132) decodes the stream of the main channel, and at least one sub-channel decoder(134,136) decodes the stream of the sub-channel. At least one modulator(138,140,142) modulates the video data/audio data of the sub-channel into a broadcasting signal.
