<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which enables easy replacement of a substrate without the need of replacing a memory or copying a data upon the replacement of the substrate, and protects the data stored in the memory even without disposing a security circuit or else. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with: an RF tag 207 which is covered with restriction members 201 and 204 of restricting the removal in order to maintain mechanical performance of the apparatus in the apparatus and stores the inner data of the apparatus; and the substrate 205 which is removably mounted on the outer side of the restriction members in the apparatus and has a circuit for reading the data from the RF tag 207 and writing the data into the RF tag 207. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
