PURPOSE: A remote operation method using a visual code and an apparatus performing the method for properly reflecting the motion of a pointer are provided to set up a virtual operation area in consideration of a distance of the mobile device. CONSTITUTION: A code decoding unit(201) receives a visual code displayed on a mobile device from an image sensor. The code decoding unit decodes the visual code. A connection operation unit(202) performs wireless access with the mobile device by using a radio access address. A pointer display unit(203) traces the movement of the mobile device. The pointer display unit displays the pointer according to the movement of the mobile device.
