PURPOSE: An independent moving head driving system of a chip mounting device and a control method thereof are provided to increase the efficiency of component mounting by independently moving a plurality of heads without interference within working space according to the driving signal of a wireless communication module. CONSTITUTION: A main wireless communication module applies a driving signal to a head. A plurality of head main bodies(210) comprises a spindle(211), a suction nozzle(212), and a driving apparatus. A pneumatic supplier supplies pressured air to the spindle of the main body. A moving module(220) moves the position within a moving area between a pickup area of component mounting apparatus and a mounting area.
