A CONTROL METHOD FOR DEFOGGING OF WINDOWS IN VEHICLES

PURPOSE: A control method for defogging vehicle windows is provided to prevent the fogging of vehicle windows by determining defogging start timing based on accurate fog generation prediction values. CONSTITUTION: A control method for defogging of vehicle windows comprises steps of: detecting the current humidity around the interior side of windows using a humidity sensor installed close to the windows and detecting the exterior temperature using an exterior temperature sensor(S10), calculating a fog generation index using the detected current window humidity and exterior temperature(S20), and determining the defogging start timing when the fog generation index exceeds the predetermined reference value and operating a defogging unit(S40).
