PURPOSE: A water meter with a double valve for preventing backflow is provided to save manufacturing, assembling and molding costs through the installing of a backflow preventing double valve formed from plastic. CONSTITUTION: A water meter(1) with a double valve for preventing backflow comprises a lower case(3) and a water discharging pipe(5). The lower case and the water discharging pipe are formed to be separated. A thread(8) and a protrusion(7) are formed on the end of the separating part(6) of the lower case. A space into which a thread(8') and a backflow preventing double valve(9) could be inserted and an elevated part(10) are formed in the water discharging pipe. The backflow preventing double valve is composed of a valve housing(14) and first valve bodies(26,26'). The valve housing comprises a stopper, a housing body and a cover. The first valve bodies are inserted into both sides of the housing body. |
