PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for testing browser compatibility of web contents are provided to automatically test browser compatibility of web contents. CONSTITUTION: A comparison checking module(130) compares reference image information of web content executed in a reference web environment with test image information of web content executed in a test web environment. The comparison checking module compares reference operating information of the web content executed in the reference web environment with test operation information of the web content executed in the test web environment. The comparison checking module checks compatibility between the test web environment for the web content and the reference web environment.
