<p>In a method of producing a shim, for each of several layers, a first layer of powdered magnetic material is deposited, and selectively bonding together in regions of the layer where presence of the magnetic material is required. Unbonded powdered magnetic material is removed from the layer, to leave gaps. A powdered magnetically inert material is deposited into the gaps and bonded together in regions of the layer where presence of the magnetic material is not required.</p> |
