682,699. Spray-producers. AEROGRAPH CO., Ltd. Jan. 30, 1951 [Feb. 13, 1950], No. 3670/50. Class 69 (iii). A spray gun having a compressed air inlet 2, a paint inlet 3 and a trigger 4 controlling air and paint valves 5 and 6, includes an additional control of the air from the outlets 12, 13 which flattens the spray. This control comprises a valve 21 on a spindle 20 which slides within a sleeve 22 screwed within a hollow part 14. A pin 26 on the spindle slides within a slot 25 in the sleeve, and the valve is opened the required amount by rotating the spindle knob 27 with the pin in engagement with the rear of the slot, and the sleeve and valve move rearwardly together. The valve is closed by sliding the spindle forwardly on to its seat 17, thus cutting off the air supply to the hollow part 14 and the outlets 12, 13. The sleeve is slotted at 24 and its end splayed, so that it grips the inner wall of the part 14 to prevent its accidental rotation. |
