PURPOSE: A plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the power consumption by reducing the number of subfields included in a frame according to the average power level of the image data. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display apparatus(110) comprises a plasma display panel and a driving part. The driving part embodies image on the plasma display panel using the frame. The frame comprises a plurality of subfields. The driving part reduces the number of subfields as the average power level rises. |
