PURPOSE: A massage apparatus and a control method for the same are provided to maintain calm state for a user by inducing breathing method which is able to reduce stress. CONSTITUTION: A massage apparatus comprises: a head support(103) which supports user's head; a back support(105) which is coupled to the head support and supports user's back; a speaker(131) which supplies sound source at the head support; and a breathing inducer(151) which induces user's breath. The head support is detachable to change combination site with the back support. The speaker is able to replays binaural beat sound source.
