PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to manufacture a mixed periodic photonic crystal structure by forming a first photonic crystal through a lithography method and a dray etching method and forming a second photonic crystal through a wet etching method. CONSTITUTION: A first conductive type semiconductor layer(110) is formed on a first substrate. An active layer is formed on the first conductive type semiconductor layer. A second conductive type semiconductor layer is formed on the active layer. A mixed periodic photonic crystal structure(115) is formed on a partial region of the first conductive type semiconductor layer. The mixed periodic photonic crystal structure includes a first photonic crystal structure(115a) and a second photonic crystal structure(115b).
