The invention relates to plants, seeds and cells of genus Diplotaxis, having a cytoplasmic male sterility, and in particular to plants, seeds and cells of the species Diplotaxis tenuifolia. The cytoplasmic male sterility is preferably that imported from Raphanus sativus, referred to as Ogura sterility. The invention also relates to a method for producing Diplotaxis tenuifolia plants having the cytoplasmic male sterility, and to the various uses of the cytoplasmic male sterility of the plants of the invention.
