SIMULATION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TESTING PLC CODE OF GENERATING INPUT/OUTPUT MODEL AUTOMATICALLY

PURPOSE: A simulation apparatus for testing a PLC(Programmable Logic Control) code of generating an input/output model automatically, and a method thereof are provided to automatically and conveniently generate an I/O model by using a PLC symbol structure including systematically including the information necessary for automatically generating the I/O model. CONSTITUTION: A PLC(Programmable Logic Control) code storage unit(110) stores a PLC code comprising PLC symbols, and comprises the levels for generating an I/O model of the PLC symbols. A model definer(130) uses the PLC symbols to define facilities communicating with the PLC as the I/O model. A symbol extractor(150) extracts from the PLC code storage unit the PLC symbols inputted/outputted between the PLC and the I/O model. A defining state unit(170) analyzes the extracted PLC symbols and defines operation state of the facilities defined by the I/O model.
