CONDITIONAL ENTITLEMENT PROCESSING FOR OBTAINING A CONTROL WORD

PURPOSE: A conditional qualification processing method in a receiver using a hardware tamper resistance is provided to release a control word for a group or a single receiver and perform the receiver using the hardware tamper resistance. CONSTITUTION: Two or more sub keys are acquired(1). Each sub key is under control of the data in a sub key specific entitlement message from a head-end system. Sub keys are combined in order to obtain a control word(2). At least one of the sub keys is a positive entitlement message. At least one of the sub keys is a negative entitlement message.
