ROBOT CLEANER AND METHOD FOR DETECTING POSITION THEREOF

<p>PURPOSE: A robot cleaner and a position detecting method thereof are provided to select suitable sensor combination according to driving conditions based on sensor information. CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner comprises a first detecting part(100), a second detecting part(200), a third detecting part(300), and a control part(500). The first detection part outputs first location information based on recorded upper part image. The second detecting part outputs second location information base on recorded lower part image. The third detecting part outputs third location information based on the rotation of a wheel motor which drives wheels. The control part decides the current position of the robot cleaner based on location information. The control part decides traveling states.</p>
