Disclosed is seedless Capsicum annuum L. Also disclosed is a method for producing the seedless Capsicum annuum L. Specifically disclosed is Capsicum annuum L. "CMS-line KY111" (Accession No. FERM BP-11223) or "CMS-line NAT" (Accession No. FERM BP-11225", which is cytoplasmically male-sterile and does not have a fertility restoring gene. Also specifically disclosed is a method for producing a line of Capsicum annuum L. which is cytoplasmically male-sterile and does not have a fertility restoring gene. The method comprises carrying out backcross breeding using "CMS-line KY111" or "CMS-line NAT" as a maternal line and a line of Capsicum annuum L. which is male-fertile and does not have a fertility restoring gene as a paternal line.
