<p>Provided is a copolycarbonate having a high refractive index, low birefringence, and excellent processability and transparency. Also provided is an optical lens comprising the copolycarbonate. The copolycarbonate comprises a unit represented by formula (I) and a unit represented by formula (II), wherein the total amount of the unit represented by formula (I) and the unit represented by formula (II) is 80 mol% or more of the total repeating units, and the molar ratio of the unit represented by formula (I) to the unit represented by formula (II) is in the range from 98:2 to 35:65. In formula (I), R1, R2, R3, and R4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or the like; X is an alkylene group having 2 to 8 carbon atoms, or the like; and m and n are each independently an integer of 1 to 10. In formula (II), R5, R6, R7, and R8 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or the like.</p> |
