PURPOSE: A 3D road display device and a method thereof are provided to prevent the unnecessary increase of data capacity, thereby increasing 3D rendering speed. CONSTITUTION: A road polygon, with a width wider than a corresponding road width, is generated from road data(S20). The altitude value of a road center line is assigned as the altitude value of each road polygon for the road polygon(S30). The boundary between the road polygon and a 3D topographical map mesh is overlapped(S40). A union of the 3D topographical mesh and a road mesh is made to generate the entire topographical map after a road mesh corresponding to the road polygon is generated(S50). |
