METHOD FOR MODELING OF RAILROAD CAR STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A method for modeling a railroad car structure in consideration of permanent deformations is provided to drastically shorten testing time, thereby removing a spatial limit by the analysis of a program. CONSTITUTION: An under frame and a side wall are modeled with finite elements. A camber is applied to the under frame. The under frame and the side wall are combined using a welding element supporting a structure analysis program to perform static analysis. A load condition is given to a linearly collected structure. Permanent deformations are measured through trial and error.
