FIELD: weapons and ammunition. ^ SUBSTANCE: automatic gun barrel comprises jacket and cooling grooves arranged outside and along the barrel. Groove bottom is inclined to barrel axis and deepen toward muzzle part. Jacket is fitted on the barrel in the grooves' zone to rest upon cylindrical case rings. Said case is arranged concentric with barrel bore. Gas cartridge is arranged on the barrel and furnished with cylinder and flange that joint cylinder rear part to barrel breech housing. Groove bottom can be inclined to barrel axis at angle , defined by the following relation: =arctg(2.3-2.5)/L, where: L is barrel length, mm.
