<p>A cutting device (10) for cutting metal tubes (12) moving in a direction (X) of movement, each of said tubes (12) containing inside it residual welding elements made of material with a ferrous base, comprises a movement trolley (34) which moves, at a speed substantially equal to the speed of the tubes (12), a cutting head (36) on which a cutting tool (30) is mounted, and electromagnetic means (32) mounted on the trolley (34), disposed upstream of the cutting tool (30) with respect to the direction (X) of movement or mounted fixed immediately after the forming zone (50) of the tubes (12), said means being able to be selectively activated to generate an electromagnetic field inside the tube (12), the function of which is to move said residual welding elements to a position of non-interference with the cutting tool (30) during the cutting step.</p> |
