Disclosed is an air cell wherein entrance of water can be detected quickly. Specifically disclosed is an air cell comprising a power-generating unit including an air electrode to which an oxygen-containing gas is supplied, a negative electrode containing an alkali metal, and an electrolyte layer having an electrolyte for conducting ions between the air electrode and the negative electrode, and a case for housing the power-generating unit. In addition, a hydrogen-detecting means is provided within the case. |
