A digital broadcast receiving device is provide with N built-in antennas, N tuners, N power switches, a carrier synthesis unit for synthesizing a plurality of individual carrier signals, and a demodulation unit for demodulating a video/audio signal from the carrier signal. A CPU selects a tuner used for demodulation on the basis of the results of detections by individual carrier C/N detectors and a synthesized carrier C/N detection unit and controls the N power switches such that the power is supplied to the selected tuner and the supply of power to the tuners not selected is stopped.
