Provided is an abnormality detection and vehicle tracking device in which, by switching between operation modes, no warning is issued even when an in-vehicle battery is removed after a completion test and the consumption of an internal power supply is reduced. Specifically provided is an abnormality detection device (10) provided with an internal power source (66) capable of supplying driving power to an acceleration sensor (30), a CPU (50), and the like when an in-vehicle battery (63) is not connected to a motorcycle (1), and an operation mode switching means (17) for performing switching between a plurality of operation modes provided in the abnormality detection device (10). The plurality of operation modes include a transportation mode (M1) (hereinafter referred to as mode (M1)) in which the use of the internal power supply (66) is prohibited even when the in-vehicle battery is not connected. The operation mode is set to the mode (M1) in an initial state before the in-vehicle battery (63) is connected for the first time. When, in the mode (M1), the in-vehicle battery (63) is connected and a predetermined operation mode switching operation is executed, the operation mode switching means (17) shifts the operation mode to a normal mode (M4) in which abnormality detection and a warning operation are possible. |
