PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of cerium oxide nanopowder with the uniform particle distribution is provided to secure the uniform grinding condition by controlling the shock energy between cerium oxide and a zirconium oxide bead during a vertical milling process. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of cerium oxide nanopowder comprises the following steps: preparing cerium oxide nanopowder slurry containing particles with the size over 1 micro meters; rotating a rotor of a horizontal milling apparatus and firstly milling the slurry; and rotating the rotor to secondly milling the slurry. The rotating speed from the second rotating process is faster than the first process.
