The method involves delivering an instant message service, emitting user contact lists (L), and transmitting the user contact lists by a gateway server (SP). Functionality contacts are added in the user contact lists, and an aggregate list (L') forming unique interface is transmitted to a computer terminal (T) by the gateway server, where the aggregate list comprises user contacts and functionality contacts. The aggregate list is displayed on a screen by the computer terminal. Functionality is activated by selecting the functionality contacts in the aggregate list. An independent claim is also included for a computer terminal equipped with a screen.
