<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of appropriately determining a failure concerning an entry of a digital signal when the digital signal is input from an external device via a digital signal cable. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 100 that is one type of a display device includes a digital signal input part 140 to which a digital signal is input from an external device via a digital signal cable, and a determination part 150 for determining the occurrence of failure concerning the entry of the digital signal, causing, when it determines the occurrence of no failure, the input part to establish connection to the external device to input the digital signal, and changing, when it determines the occurrence of a failure, a criterion to determine the occurrence of a failure again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
