PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual sunshade device capable of performing smooth opening/closing operation while certainly maintaining stable stopping friction force even if it is used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The sunshade device includes: a pair of engagement mechanisms (60) each provided with a sliding member (62) abutted on a guide rail (8), an operation member (61) for pressing the sliding member (62), and an elastic member (64) for applying urging force for pressing the sliding member (62) through the operation member (61), and slid/guided by the guide rail (8); one operation mechanism (70) for performing pressing of the sliding members (62) to the guide rails (8) and pressing-releasing; and a connection member (4) for connecting the operation mechanism (70) to the respective engagement mechanisms (60).
