PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas engine drive apparatus restarting operation without delay even when supply of main fuel gas stops due to a disaster such as an earthquake and keeping influence of an operation stop at the minimum. SOLUTION: The gas engine drive apparatus 1 includes a gas mixer 23 capable of changing supply of fuel gas from one of a main fuel gas supply line 28 and an auxiliary fuel gas supply line 41, mixing the fuel gas with air, and supplying the same to the gas engine 5. The apparatus includes: a detection means 42 detecting that supply of main fuel gas from the main fuel gas supply line 28 stops; and a control part 43 changing over the fuel change over device 40 to the auxiliary fuel gas supply line 41 and restarting the gas engine 5 after stopping operation of the gas engine drive apparatus 1 and adjusting opening of a fuel valve of the gas mixer 23 to opening for auxiliary fuel gas when stop of supply of the main fuel gas is detected.
