LINEAR DRIVE DEVICE WITH CABLE CLAMP OR RELAY STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear drive device allowing little or no force generated in a cable to be transmitted to an external structure.

SOLUTION: The linear drive device 300 includes a movable slide 10; a movable counter slide 12; and a stationary guide 14. Each of the slide 10 and the counter slide 12 has a bearing with respect to the guide 14 so as to be movable along the same straight line. The linear drive device includes a drive means for generating a driving force for the slide 10 between the counter slide 12 and the slide 10. The counter slide 12 receives reaction of the driving force for driving the slide 10. The cable 30 connected to the slide is clamped or relayed at a relay part 34 of the counter slide 12. The weight of the counter slide 12 is greater than the weight of the slide 10.
