摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration method for improving a measurement precision of an object to be measured by calculating internal and external parameters close to true values in a three-dimensional shape measuring instrument including a plurality of cameras. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional shape measuring instrument captures images from five mutually different viewpoints by camera 12R, 12L, acquires a known pattern image capturing data KD the positions of a plurality of features points of which are known, and gray scale image data GD the shading of which changes continuously, and calculates an internal parameter A, external parameters [R, t], a rotary vector RV<SB>n</SB>, and a translation vector tv<SB>n</SB>of the cameras 12R, 12L from the acquired data. Then, the internal parameter A and the external parameters [R, t] are optimized so that the total difference in all pixel values between a projection gray scale image PG<SB>n</SB>aligned to the direction of a reference viewpoint and a gray scale image G<SB>0</SB>in the reference viewpoint may be minimized by the rotary vector RV<SB>n</SB>and the translation vector tv<SB>n</SB>.
