<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly notify a user of the occurrence of abnormal temperature during charging. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A charger 20 includes: a charging state determination part 31 which repeatedly determines whether temperature TB of a secondary battery 23 being charged is at a normal temperature for performing charging or at an abnormal temperature for stopping charging; a display part 16 for displaying information; a display control part 36 which causes the display part 16 to display notification information that reports the occurrence of abnormal temperature during charging if the abnormal temperature is determined by the charging state determination part 31; and an operation part 12. The display control part 36 continues to display notification information on the display part 16 even if the charging state determination part 31 detects normal temperature while notification information is displayed on the display part 16, and completes display of notification information on the display part 16 when the operation part 12 is operated.
