<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent curl of a sheet in single-sided printing, and to prevent scratch to print performed on the back surface of the sheet in double-sided printing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The curl preventive device has a pair of pipe members 411, 412 aligning in the extending direction of axes C of cylindrical shapes and provided with hole portions 411a, 412a toward one of radial directions of the cylindrical shape. The pipe members are provided to have an axis of the cylindrical shapes orthogonal to a carrying direction of a sheet S, extend in a width direction of the sheet, be adjacently disposed while making the axes in parallel with each other, and rotate about the axes of the cylindrical shape. In a suction form sucking the carried sheet and correcting the curl of the sheet, a suction pump SP is connected to the pipe members through a hose 43, and the pipe members are disposed to make the orientations of the hole portions intersect each other and turn to the carried sheet. On the other hand, in an auxiliary carrying form feeding the sheet in a carrying direction R and assisting the carrying of the sheet, sucking is stopped, and the pipe members are rotated according to the carrying direction of the sheet.
