<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a lithographic printing plate by which a development scum is not generated even in development by a weakly alkaline developing solution such as pH 9-11 and satisfactory developability and printing durability are compatibly attained. <P>SOLUTION: In the process for producing the lithographic printing plate, a lithographic printing plate precursor having a photosensitive layer containing a hexaarylbiimidazole compound and a polymerizable compound and a protective layer is exposed to a laser and then the protective layer and a non-exposed part are removed in the presence of a developing solution containing an organic solvent represented by any of formula (I): R<SP>1</SP>-O-(-CH<SB>2</SB>-CH<SB>2</SB>-O-)<SB>m</SB>-H, formula (II): R<SP>1</SP>-O-(-CH<SB>2</SB>-CH(CH<SB>3</SB>)-O-)<SB>m</SB>-H, and formula (III): R<SP>1</SP>-O-(-CH<SB>2</SB>-CH<SB>2</SB>-CH<SB>2</SB>-O-)<SB>m</SB>-H (in formula (I), formula (II) and formula (III), R<SP>1</SP>denotes a substituted or non-substituted 1-4C alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted 6-10C aryl group, or a hydrogen atom and m denotes an integer of 1 to 3) and at least either a surfactant or a water-soluble polymer compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
