<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out analog-digital conversion in consideration of color characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: An analog-digital converter for a CMOS image sensor having an N×M pixel array includes: a D-A conversion means of R, G, and B configured to generate analog comparison reference voltages each linearly declining by a clock from a mutually different initial voltage level with a mutually different declining rate based on analog outputs from respective unit pixels covered by R, G, and B color filters; N-pieces of selection means configured to selectively output analog comparison reference voltages outputted from the D-A conversion means in response to control signals for respective columns of the pixel array; and N-pieces of comparison means configured to compare the analog comparison reference voltages and analog image signals outputted from respective columns of the pixel array. Analog data signals captured by unit pixels of each row unit of the pixel array are converted into digital data signals according to analog image data characteristics of the specific colors outputted by the color filters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
