<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein composition elements of a water heater are complicated and become expensive by disposing a check valve and it becomes difficult to perform deairing in construction, as it is necessary to install the check valve in a circulation circuit as heat retaining property is impaired due to generation of natural convection by the circulation circuit for reheating when a circulation pump is stopped, in a conventional hot water storage tank-type water heater. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater 1 includes a hot water storage tank 2 having a heating means, a heat exchanger 4 for exchanging heat between warm water or cold water stored in the hot water storage tank, and cold water or warm water of a bath 6, the circulation pump 5 for circulating the water between the hot water storage tank and the heat exchanger, a three-way valve 3 for switching a water passage between the hot water storage tank and the heat exchanger to a first switching position and a second switching position, and a water passage communicated with a lower return port 23 formed a lower section of the hot water storage tank from a lower outlet port 22 formed on the lower section of the hot water storage tank through the three way valve, the heat exchanger, and the circulation pump by switching the three-way valve to the second switching position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
