PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a ceramic capacitor, which can provide a ceramic capacitor having satisfactory electric characteristics such as electrostatic capacitance or dielectric loss while ensuring water-resisting performance. SOLUTION: A conductive paste for external electrode is applied to both end surfaces of a ceramic element body 1 respectively by means of printing or the like followed by baking to form external electrodes 3 and 4. The external electrode 3 is joined to one end of an internal electrode pattern 22, and the external electrode 4 is joined to one end of an internal electrode pattern 23. As the material of the external electrodes 3 and 4, for example, Ni or Cu, or an alloy having either of the both as main component is used. The atmosphere of the baking is an oxidation atmosphere. An AC current is carried to between the external electrodes 3 and 4 of the ceramic element body 2 to remove oxide films generated respectively at the joint parts of the external electrodes 3 and 4 with the internal electrode patterns 22 and 23 in the baking of the external electrodes 3 and 4.
