PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an olefin polymer capable of preventing choking of product taking-out piping due to fouling or dropping of a fouling object on the wall surface of an expanded part of a vapor phase polymerization reactor. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an olefin polymer is for polymerizing an olefin by adjusting the wall surface temperature of the expanded part in a range of following formula (1) in a presence of an olefin-polymerizing catalyst in a vapor phase polymerization reactor having an expanded part: D+10<T<-5.8×X+90 (1), (wherein T represents the wall surface temperature (°C), X, cold xylene soluble part amount of an olefin polymer (wt.%), and D, the dew point of a circulating gas (°C), and D<-5.8×X+80 is satisfied).
