PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric power generator which can surely perform heat transfer to a thermoelectric power generation module and prevent thermal loss to effect highly efficient power generation. SOLUTION: The thermoelectric power generator includes a square tube like heating body 3 having a high temperature medium flowing therein, a pair of cooling bodies 4 having a low temperature medium flowing therein, a pressing member 6 disposed outside each cooling body 4, and a thermoelectric power generation module 5 between the heating body 3 and the cooling body 4. A connecting rod 7 is provided at a position away from the outside of the second sidewall 3b of the heating body 3, connecting the mutual pressing members 6 with the connecting rod 7. The heat receiving surface 5a of the thermoelectric power generation module 5 is rectangular, and when the direction orthogonal to the flowing direction of the high temperature medium in the heating body 3 is a width direction, the width size of the second sidewall 3b of the heating body 3 is smaller than the width size of the first sidewall 3a of the heating body 3.
