<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved process using magnetic particles for inducing cell death which is not dependent on high strength and/or high frequency variation of a magnetic field, and also on the procedure for inducing local or overall temperature rise in a tissue. <P>SOLUTION: Magnetic particles are used in therapeutic applications to disrupt biological materials. The particles have intrinsic magnetization, and this magnetization is stabilized by inherent magneto-crystal line anisotropy and/or shape anisotropy.
